Futuremark's Gainward Overclocking Competition Attracts Worldwide Interest
HELSINKI, FINLAND OCTOBER 14, 2011 Futuremark® today announces the winners of its most recent 3DMark 11 overclocking competition, sponsored by Gainward. The competition attracted worldwide interest and more than 5,000 entries from around the globe.
"Gainward congratulate the winners, and thank everyone for making this contest a worldwide success," said Paul Sun, General Manager at Gainward Technology International Ltd.
CONTEST 1: HOW FAST CAN YOU GO?
This segment was open to all owners of Gainward GeForce® graphics cards. The winner of the USD $1000 top prize for submitting the highest score was Hazzan of Indonesia, who beat runners up from Italy, Belgium and Finland.
CONTEST 2: CATCH THE PHANTOM
This segment was open to all 3DMark 11 users, with all brands of PC hardware. Each week featured a different precision overclocking challenge with the aim of hitting a specific score target. Winners included PetraD (Germany), Vlad5566 (Ukraine) jannee__ (Finland) and Bolonar (Russia).
CONTEST 3: GEIL LUCK DRAW
All 3DMark 11 scores submitted to 3DMark.com using GeIL brand memory during the four week contest were entered into a special GeIL memory lucky draw. Winners included SArd (Russia), theis.rainer (Germany) and Andy van Hollywood (Germany).
